A round green flagellate

A round green flagellate glides along and then stops to rest on the surface of an aggregate. Numerous fine green particles are contained inside the flagellate. After a while, the flagellate leaves the particle, giving us a brief glimpse of its long flagellum.

Depending on the number of flagella, the organism may be Carteria with 4 flagella, or Chlamydomonas with 2 flagella.

As the shape of the cell is almost spherical, and there is a large spherical pyrenoid in the center of the cell, the organism is possibly Carteria globosa.
