Two algae cells

Two algal cess shaped like slendar half moons are touching at one end. We can see small particles moving in on of the algae. A Euglena stops by for a short visit, then goes on its way.

This organism looks similar to Cymbella, but its shape would seem to indicate Amphora.

Unfortunately this exact same organism cannot be found in the above webpages.

According to the book, Ettl, et. al., Süß wasserflora von Mitteleuropa 2/1 Karmmer K. and Lange-Bertalot H., Bacillariophyceae 1. Teil: Naviculaceae, pp.876, the most similar types of organism to the one shown in this video are Amphora pediculus and Amphora fogediana.
