Euglena changes its flexible shape
Euglena changes its flexible shape.
Commentary by Prof. Yuji Tsukii, Hosei University
There are several species of Euglena with a similar appearance. They can be distinguished from each other by the shape and arrangement of chloroplasts in the cytoplasm. Judging from the pictures of the above three species taken by myself, the Euglena in this video is probably Euglena schimitzii.
